On Friday 3rd November 2023 around 500 Warwickshire Freemasons and their partners attended the 2023 Festival dinner held in the magnificent setting of Coventry cathedral to hear that the Province had smashed it’s target and raised an amazing £2,637,898.
This was the culmination of 70 months of highs, lows, fun and frolics, bravery, fear and a general rollercoaster of emotions.
We’ve seen two plummeting Provincial Grand Masters, both reaching speeds in excess of 100MPH, an invasion of Warwick racecourse with a fair ground, street food and a Sunday morning fun run, a head shave or two, an organ recital and a grand tour throughout the UK and all this with the back drop of a global pandemic and an energy crisis.
We had the beast from the east, a fire at Notre Dame, a football tournament for 2020 in 2021 and we found out the identity H in Line of Duty.
When did we find time to raise any money? Well we did and we have!
With everything we’ve all been through the brethren of the Province have stepped up and delivered. For the first time we have been raising money for the Masonic Charitable Foundation, the
new charity that combined the four previous masonic charities. The demands on the MCF have been too numerous to mention over the past five years and only by the support of the brethren of Provinces can they carry out the vital work that is so important.
Thank you to everyone who supported the province throughout the festival.
