The Provincial Grand Chapter of Warwickshire is headed by the Provincial Grand Superintendent and he appoints, to assist him in the management of the Province, a Deputy, the Second and Third Grand Principals and an Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals.

Educated at Solihull School and then read History at Birmingham University. After working for Spicer & Pegler, the Inland Revenue and the Department of Environment he qualified as a chartered certified accountant and joined the family accountancy business.

Initiated into the Lodge of Charity No. 1551 in 1998, where his father, one brother and grandfather were all members. He was WM of that lodge in 2005, having been Worshipful Master of Benevolence Lodge No. 4035, St. Paul’s Lodge No. 43, Shenstonian Lodge No. 5544 and Federation Lodge No. 4807.

Nigel was exalted into the Holy Royal Arch – Chapter of Charity No. 1552 in 2001. He served as Provincial Grand Treasurer for seven years.

He is currently a member of six Warwickshire Craft Lodges and seven Royal Arch Chapters. He was appointed to Past Grand Rank in the Supreme Grand Chapter in 2019.

He lives with his partner Rachel on a farm near Henley-in-Arden, where they keep four horses and a small flock of sheep.

Besides for his little bit of freemasonry referred to above, Nigel’s other hobbies are model railways, horsing about and hunting the clean boot.

Michael was born the year Sir Edmund Hilary conquered Everest and is married to Julie, who works in Cyber Security. They have two boys.

Michael has worked in the motor trade all his working life predominantly for Ford and Mazda… he just loves cars.

He plays golf as often as Freemasonry, Julie and work let him and is a supporter of Aston Villa and Warks County Cricket Club.

Michael used to coach and help manage Stourbridge Rugby Club’s Minis and Juniors and in 2000 helped them get to the Scottish Amicable Cup Final at Twickenham versus Worcester and win.

He used to play football, squash and was a keen scuba diver for many years. He still goes to the gym three times per week. In 2023 Michael completed a half marathon trek to raise funds for The Alzheimer’s Society.

The eldest of his boys, Luke has now qualified as a doctor and got married in Bali in August 2023. Luke and his bride then spent 12 months back packing round the world before returning back to Tunbridge Wells where they live and work. His youngest son Ashley has his own IT company in London where he lives.

Michael is a member of several craft lodges: The Lodge of Integrity 4563, General Lodge of Instruction 587, Warks Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies Lodge 9620 and Warks Installed Masters Lodge 4538.

In Royal Arch he is a members of Leigh Chapter 887, Warwickshire First Principals Chapter 4538, Provincial Grand Stewards’ Chapter of Warwickshire 9253, Grosvenor 938 and Peace and Harmony Chapter 3929.

His is also a member of various ther Masonic orders: Howe and Athol Mark Master Masons, Ron Albutt Lodge of Mark Master Masons and Warwickshire Installed Mark Masters Lodge 1400. Michael has fulfilled a number of his ‘bucket list’ itemsm including drinks in the Long Room at Raffles Hotel in Singapore, swimming in the wild with dolphins and diving with manta rays and turtles in 2023. He is looking forward to retiring in 2024 and devoting more time to playing golf (badly) and travelling.
