The Provincial Grand Chapter of Warwickshire is headed by the Provincial Grand Superintendent and he appoints, to assist him in the management of the Province, a Deputy, the Second and Third Grand Principals and an Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals.

Past Provincial Grand Scribe Nehemiah
Michael was educated at Calday Grange Grammar School on the Wirral and at the University of Leeds where he studied law. He became a solicitor in Birmingham in 1973 and a full time district judge in 2000. He is married to Hilary and has four children and seven grandchildren.
He was initiated into Solihull Lodge 8088 in 1979 and exalted into the Holy Royal Arch in 1983. Currently a member of five craft lodges in Warwickshire and one in Cumberland and Westmorland together with two Warwickshire chapters.
Michael was appointed as Provincial Senior Warden in 2006, Assistant PGM in 2009, Deputy PGM in 2013 and Past Grand Sword Bearer in 2014. In the Holy Royal Arch Michael was the founding Scribe E of two chapters and in 2015 was promoted to Past Provincial GSN. He is on the Appeals Council at UGLE.
He has a life outside Freemasonry apart from his family. He is a school governor, parish councillor, church warden and has been secretary of the Knowle Association for the Prosecution of Offenders since 1988.
Michael enjoys walking, hiking in the Lake District and is a reluctant gardener!

Past Provincial Grand Scribe Nehemiah
Michael was born in Birmingham and educated at Bordesley Green Boys Grammar/Technical School. He then joined the NHS as a hospital engineer where he continued his higher education and training to qualify as a chartered engineer working in electrical construction design. He eventually retired from a working life in 2016.
He was initiated into Fletcher Lodge 1031 in 1995, becoming Worshipful Master in 2002 and 2013 and being organist and secretary since 2016. He was promoted to Past Provincial Senior Grand Warden in 2024.
Michael was exalted into the Royal Arch, Fletcher Chapter 1031, in 2004 becoming Most Excellent Zerubbabel in 2012 and being organist and scribe E since 2014. He was appointed as Assistant Provincial Grand Principal in 2025.
Michael lives in Sutton Coldfield with his wife Gill who are both active members of Walmley Golf Club being club captain and lady captain in 2022. Apart from golf, interests include racket sports (squash, racquetball, padel tennis etc.), holidaying, a bit of DIY and spending time with family and friends.
