Warwickshire Freemasons Give £11,750 to Good Causes in June
June was another busy month for charitable giving across Warwickshire, with Freemasons supporting organisations working to improve lives locally and further afield. In total, £11,750 was donated to nine worthy causes.
Three donations were made through the new Community Champion Awards, recognising members who have forged strong links with organisations in their communities. Patrick Breen nominated Guide Dogs, which received £2,000; Lewis Marks secured £2,000 for Our Jay Foundation; and Harry Black helped Shirley Sea Cadets receive a further £2,000.
Young people were at the heart of several other donations. The Royal Masonic School for Girls received £1,000, while the Little Princess Trust received £470 following a nomination by Monika Griffiths. A donation of £330 also supported the Teddies for Good Hope Hospital initiative, providing comforting bears for children receiving treatment.
Warwickshire Freemasons continued their support for health, care and wellbeing causes with £1,700 donated to Cakes for Casualties. Myton Hospice received £750 through match funding connected with Greville Lodge, while Hillcrest Riding for the Disabled Association received £1,500 to support its riding opportunities for people with special needs.
Every donation reflects the commitment of Warwickshire Freemasons to making a practical difference. Whether helping children in hospital, supporting hospice care, enabling greater independence or investing in young people, June’s contributions demonstrate the breadth and lasting value of Masonic charity.
