Monika Griffiths Gives Up Her Hair for The Little Princess Trust
Warwickshire Freemasons are delighted to recognise the remarkable generosity of Monika Griffiths, wife of Gary Griffiths, Worshipful Master of Hertford Lodge No. 3208, who recently made an inspiring contribution to a very worthy cause.
On Saturday 30th May, Monika donated more than 24 inches of her beautiful long hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer treatment and other medical conditions.
The Little Princess Trust relies on donations such as Monika’s to create high-quality wigs that help restore confidence and bring comfort to children facing incredibly difficult circumstances. Her generous donation of hair will help the charity produce several wigs for young recipients.
Alongside donating her hair, Monika also embarked upon a fundraising campaign in support of the charity. Thanks to the generosity of family, friends and supporters, she raised an impressive £1,030. Recognising the importance of both Monika’s efforts and the work of The Little Princess Trust, Warwickshire Freemasons were proud to provide additional support, bringing the total contribution to £1,500.
Monika’s selfless act demonstrates the spirit of kindness, compassion and service that lies at the heart of Freemasonry and the wider Masonic family. By giving something so personal, she has made a lasting difference to the lives of children and families facing significant challenges.
Warwickshire Freemasons are extremely proud of Monika’s achievement and is pleased to support The Little Princess Trust in its invaluable work.
Monika’s donation forms part of a wider commitment by Warwickshire Freemasons to support charitable causes across the county and beyond. Recent contributions have included £1,713 to the Lily Mae Foundation, £1,000 to Shelter Birmingham following Matt Jones’ London Half Marathon challenge, £1,500 to The Joseph Hardy Charitable Trust in support of the Henley-in-Arden Heritage Centre, and £1,000 to Jessica’s Trust, a Warwick-based charity helping children participate in amateur sport. Together, these donations demonstrate the positive impact that Freemasons and their families continue to make within their communities through fundraising, volunteering and charitable support.
