Following in the Footsteps of Heroes
Vern Littley of Thomas Harper Lodge No. 9612 has put his best foot forward for charity, completing the Army Benevolent Fund’s challenging Frontline Walk and raising an impressive £1,840 in the process.
The walk covered 60 miles in just three days, taking participants across some of the most historic battlefields of the First World War, including the Somme, Arras, Vimy Ridge and Ypres, before finishing at the iconic Menin Gate.
It was a physically demanding but incredibly rewarding experience, made all the more poignant by the history of the battlefields and the sacrifices made by those who fought and fell there.
The Army Benevolent Fund provides vital support to soldiers, veterans and their families, making Vern’s fundraising achievement particularly worthwhile.
Reflecting on the experience, Vern described it as a truly memorable journey and a privilege to support such an important cause.
Congratulations to Vern on an outstanding achievement, demonstrating once again how Warwickshire Freemasons put the principle of Service into action.
Sixty miles, three days and £1,840 raised – a fantastic effort and a fitting tribute to those who have served.
