Folk, Fun & Freemasonry

Last weekend, the Let’s Talk team proudly represented Warwickshire Freemasonry at the vibrant Warwick Folk Festival, held in the picturesque castle grounds, Warwick. This marks our second year attending the festival, and we were delighted to see the event growing in size and energy, with plenty of entertainment and fun enjoyed by all.

While the festival runs for four days, we chose to attend on the Saturday and Sunday this year — and what a fantastic two days it was! Our stand welcomed a steady stream of families curious to learn more about Freemasonry and the charitable work we carry out across Warwickshire and neighbouring areas.

A highlight for many was the ever-popular ‘buzz game’, which brought out some competitive spirit (and the occasional cheeky attempt at distraction!).

We were also pleased to be visited by a number of brethren from Warwickshire and surrounding provinces, and several attendees took away information and contact details for the Provincial Membership Officer — a great sign of interest in joining the Craft.

What’s Next?

We’ll next be at the Warwickshire Pride Festival on Saturday 16th August 2025, from 11:00–18:00 at the Pump Room Gardens, Leamington Spa. Come along, say hello, and discover more about Freemasonry in Warwickshire.

If you’re a Freemason and would like to get involved, even just for an hour or two, we’d love your support! Reach out to Peter Clark APGM or Martin Parrack via the Provincial Office to learn more about volunteering with the Let’s Talk team.

And don’t forget — our final event of the summer will be the Nuneaton Community Carnival on Sunday 24th August. Come and join us!

You never know who you might meet at these events — perhaps someone who’s been curious about Freemasonry but didn’t know who to ask. Let’s keep the conversation going!
