Events that endure must be good – and so it was on Sunday 24 February when the 34th Royal Arch Church Service took place at Coughton Parish Church. The sun shone gloriously and encouraged a bumper attendance with standing run only.  The Choir’s Introit with E Comp Chris Grove setting the tone (literally and metaphorically) for the service with an outstanding solo and the familiar words ‘In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth’.With lessons read wonderfully by EComp Ray Archer and EComp Tom Buxton, the respective MEZ’s of Athelstan and Alma Mater Chapters  and EComps Philip Gough and Phil Hall carrying on this theme and an address by the Grand Chaplain EComp Rev Canon Michael Wilson it made for an interesting and contemplative afternoon; the importance of creation in our order. An excellent afternoon tea followed, and all left to contemplate the beauty of God’s creation as Spring appeared to have sprung in the wonder of South Warwickshire.
Have you heard of God’s Creation
