Monday 24th March 2025 was a special evening for Knowle Lodge 8001. The Provincial Grand Master was in attendance to present a 60th Certificate to W Bro Terry Bastock PPSGW exactly 60 years after he had been initiated into freemasonry on 24th March 1965. During the presentation the Lodge learnt of a rich and varied history, both masonic and non-masonic which also involved W Bro Trevor Sturt PAPPGM who was visiting the lodge, as it was W Bro Terry who performed the vital role of SW at his initiation – one which clearly neither has forgotten.

Not only did the PGM present a 60th Certificate to the longest serving member of the Lodge, he was also on hand to present a Grand Lodge Certificate to the newest Master Mason in the Lodge, Bro Mark Morris, who had been raised at the previous meeting.

All in all this was a very special evening for all concerned.
