Guide Dogs Receive Donation from Local Freemasons

Guide Dogs has recently received a donation of £192 from Abbey Chapter No. 432 and Etone Lodge No. 5981. The organisation, known globally for supporting people with vision impairments, provides highly trained guide dogs that help individuals navigate everyday mobility challenges and gain greater independence and confidence.

The donation was inspired by Buttons, a guide dog currently in training, who has been a regular presence at Masonic events in Nuneaton and across the Province of Warwickshire over the past year. Buttons has been accompanied throughout her training by her dedicated puppy raisers, Alison and David Handley.

The donation cheques were presented to Frank and Gill Lynn of the Bedworth & Nuneaton branch of Guide Dogs by W. Bro. Andrew Ibbitson, Treasurer of Etone Lodge No. 5981 and Most Excellent Zerubbabel of Abbey Chapter No. 432. He was joined at the presentation by E. Comp. David Handley—and of course, Buttons herself.
