Keeping the Spirit of the Travelling Loving Cup Alive.

Forest of Arden Chapter received the Travelling Loving Cup from the Chapter Faith & Hope Chapter in February.

A deputation from Fletcher Chapter requested a visit to the Forest of Arden Chapter’s April meeting in the hope of confiscating the Cup.  After the rules being explained that the Loving Cup should be transferred to another centre, it was decided that to keep the spirit of the Loving Cup and to encourage inter-visiting they would continue their sojourn to Forest of Arden Chapter.

Encouraged by their enthusiasm to receive the Travelling Loving Cup, Companions of Forest of Arden presented it to Fletcher Chapter at their meeting on May 16^th, and to keep in bounds of the rules both Chapters will Travel to Guy’s Cliffe Chapter to make the presentation to them at their meeting on June 12th.

To follow the rules governing the Cup’s travels, Forest of Arden Chapter must select another Chapter, at another Warwickshire centre, with at least three members taking the cup to its destination.  The holding Chapter must not keep it for long, so that it continues its journey throughout the Province, and encourages visiting between Chapters.  The cup is now kept in a box to protect it on its travels, together with a record of its movements to date.
