January is the election meeting to choose the master elect for Forest of Arden Lodge No 3826, and the short meeting to carry out the election leaves the lodge time to do something a bit different. This year, the lodge invited friends and family to join the brethren in the lodge room to give a short presentation and to answer any questions.

This year was a bit more special as Forest of Arden Lodge is enjoying being made perfect, with the Master and his Wardens complimented with two Fellowcrafts and two Entered Apprentices.

The evening was a social affair, with a festive board for all, followed by a visit to a local pub to round off the evening. In addition to being a very convivial meeting introducing friends and family to Freemasonry, those assembled raised £800 to be donated to Acorn’s Children’s Hospice. A very successful evening all round.
