There are so many people in our communities today who are in need of help and support. People from all walks of life struggling with physical health, educational, social, mental health and financial issues. Some of these people are lucky to benefit from a number charities within Warwickshire who offer their expertise, guidance, counselling and many other forms of assistance.

Warwickshire Freemasons offer financial support for many of these Charities. Once per year they receive a donation. More than 108 charities in 2026 will benefit from a total of £255,000.

The Annual Warwickshire Freemasons Charitable Foundation (WFCF)  charity presentation took place on Wednesday 12th August at the Edgbaston Golf Club in Birmingham. The Head of Freemasonry in Warwickshire, Philip Hall conducted the presentation of cheques to 26 local charities from across Warwickshire ranging from hospices, shelters, air ambulances, youth clubs, crisis centres, counselling services, armed and ex-service personnel, medical research, ladies fighting breast cancer, cerebral palsy and many more.

Each gave a brief explanation of the work their charity conducts within our communities. Philip Hall spoke of his huge respect and admiration for all those working so hard in our communities. Giving of their time, effort and skills, often under extreme conditions, to help those in need.

He also expressed his enormous gratitude to the Brethren of Warwickshire for all the fund-raising incentives and giving so generously and making the day possible and how honoured he was to be able to present the cheques on behalf of the Province.

Philip Hall was especially delighted to be able to present a cheque of £5,000 jointly to Major Tony Morgan (Royal Centre for Defence Medicine) and James Elliot (CEO Fisher House). Fisher House is the chosen charity for The Warwickshire Tercentenary 2028 Appeal, which continues to gain momentum as we work towards 2028. The appeal will not only hugely benefit Fisher House, who provide support for our injured service personnel and their families, but will further strengthen our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant.
