On Monday 8th April Guys Lodge No 395 hosted the presentation of a 50-year certificate to W Bro Colin Lovegrove, PProvGSwdB, in the presence of over 40 members and guests.

In an interview with W Bro David Shakeshaft, Assistant PGM, he outlined an interesting and varied career covering his time in the RAF as a pilot, especially his time in the Middle East, to his work with Warwickshire Police in their specialist information unit at Leek Wootton.

A fascinating and informative discussion followed, and the watching brethren were treated to a wide-ranging and interesting look into W Bro Colin’s background.

Following the Lodge meeting the brethren dined in the magnificent Regency Room at Victoria House.

Following his toast, W Bro Colin thanked the brethren and felt humbled by the kindness and generosity of the support
he had received during his 50 years in freemasonry, the majority of which he has spent at Guys Lodge.
