At the Chapter of Rectitude No 502 Installation meeting in February, E Comp Philip L Hall, the Provincial Grand Superintendent opened the Chapter, assisted by E Comps Peter James and Peter Stokes acting as the 2nd and 3rd Provincial Grand Principal’s.
E Comp John Illingworth was installed as the First Principal by the Installing Principal, E Comp Richard Clews, following which E Comp Rob Mason, the new Haggai was installed by by E Comp John Illingworth with Comp Ray Maxwell then being installed as the new Joshua by E Comp Rob Mason.
The Chapter of Rectitude is striving to maintain its ladder of succession moving along, and with the installations of three unrecycled Companions, this together with the newly appointed companion Sojourners and Scribe Nehemiah all progressing bodes well for the continuing future health of the chapter.
During a busy evening it went almost unmarked that E Comp Ivan Norris ended his tenure as the Chapter DC after six years of strong leadership and attention to detail, though he promises to remain on-hand during the hand over which will be a comfort to new DC, E Comp Richard Clews
For recently exalted companion David Brown It was also a memorable evening, as he received his grand chapter certificate from the Provincial Grand Superintendent who delivered a detailed explanation with characteristic moments of levity thrown in.
The chapter received strong support from the companions of Composite and Holywell chapters as well as a plethora of Provincial Officers.
The consensus of the opinion was that it was a successful and most enjoyable evening that was exemplified by the smiles shown on the principals faces in the following photos.
