About us
Eight worthy brethren met on the evening of Tuesday January 23rd 1900 at the offices of Mr. W.S. Tunbridge solicitor to consider the advisability of forming a Freemasons Lodge in Redditch. By the following Friday a lease on the Old Warwick Arms had been secured. Lord Ernest Seymour had been persuaded to give his name and become the first Worshipful Master, and the Lodge had suffered its first loss in the person of Bro. H.W. Shrimpton’s wife. And thus was the start of one hundred years of Masonic history in Redditch…
