About us
Loyal Travellers has members of all ages – from 22 to 89, and is a happy, lively and vibrant Lodge. We are over 100 years old – at every meeting we hear an excerpt from the minutes of the corresponding meeting from that time. We often find that our brethren of 100 years ago took part in the same ceremony we are ready to undertake at the current meeting. This gives us a real sense of belonging to part of the history of a brotherhood that spans time and our own lifetimes. Our priority is to enjoy our masonry and always to do our best while offering friendship and brotherly love to all our members and regular visitors, of which there are many. We hold a Lodge of Instruction before every meeting so encourage learning and to practice the work in the Lodge and also hold informal rehearsals at brethren’s homes enabled by glasses of wine or even coffee. After each meeting we also have a meeting for Past Masters and Lodge officers to review the Lodge work and make plans for the future, these are usually held over Teams to enable as many brethren as possible to take part.
Why Join Us?
Loyal Travellers is one of the most well respected, loved and generally best regarded Lodges in Warwickshire. (We know that as a certain Past Provincial Grand Master says so.)
We are a Saturday Lodge which means that brethren can easily make our meeting with no worries about clashes with work commitments.
At Loyal Travellers we love our masonry and the affection we have for our brethren is huge. We take the work in the lodge very seriously with our greatest wish being that every brother tries his best, and we are massively supportive of each other’s efforts.
At our festive boards we have fun and sing lots of lovely masonic songs, not always very well, but with great gusto and enjoyment. We have a strong social life in Loyal Travellers, including curry nights, Sunday lunches, formal and informal Ladies Evenings, and most recently a planned trip to London to Grand Lodge and maybe a few hostelries as well.
We feel that one of the most important aspects of masonry is to be kind and support each other, to look after our brethren and their families and ensure that all of our members feel safe, happy and cared for in the Lodge. We love to support local and national charities, and are enormously proud of what we and the Province does to support all people in need.
