About us
Originally, with a loan from the Lodge of Rectitude for the purchase of furniture etc., and arrangements to meet at the same place as the Lodge, the Chapter of Rectitude No.502 was consecrated in 1882 and the event even attracted a mention in the local newspaper – The Rugby Advertiser.
The Chapter originally got off to a slow start and experienced many difficulties, almost inevitably perhaps because of the existence of only one Craft Lodge in the Town of Rugby. The Chapter celebrated its Centenary in 1982 and continues to grow having happily consolidated with the Composite Chapter 5727.
Fast forward to current times and the membership grows steadily with frequent Exaltation Ceremonies, sometimes with multiple candidates.
The Chapter provides an excellent opportunity to further progress your Masonic career and increase your learning in a friendly setting, respectful of tradition and often mixing this with new ideas.
Why Join Us?
At the Chapter of Rectitude you will find an abundance of friendly faces all willing and eager to help you through your Masonic Advancement. New members are encouraged to progress at their own pace and often help with the ceremonies and generally have fun doing so
