The latest Meeting of the Warwickshire Installed Masters Lodge No.4538 was a really enjoyable night for all who attended, but not least for our Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E.Comp Phil Hall.
The evening was marked by a truly outstanding demonstration of three sections of the First Degree Lecture by members of the Derbyshire Provincial Lecture Festival Team. The performance of relatively junior brethren, including a Fellowcraft, was nothing short of remarkable and the £750 donation made by the members of the Lodge to the Derbyshire 2025 Festival was very well earned.
The business of the evening moved on with our own E Comp Phil being declared as Master of the Lodge for next year, much to his delight. The Indissoluble Link at work; he will be installed on Monday 30th September.
A final piece of useful information for all Royal Arch Masons was given by Deputy Grand Superintendent, E.Comp Philip Gough during his report as Royal Arch Representative. He explained he was delighted to see that the MEGS was making excellent progress in recovering from his recent hip replacement. He outlined that his actions must have helped in that he had encouraged the MEGS to take his time in recovering and in expectation of needing to cover his absence that he was working on his address for the Annual Convocation at Rugby College on 6 July. Remarkably the MEGS has made a recovery that has astounded his Doctors and is fit and well to attend that meeting.
