The recent meeting of Leigh Chapter was a very happy one. The previous convocation, held on the second day of 2026, seemed a very long time ago and there was some serious catching up to do. As it was the installation meeting, the companions were delighted to welcome the Provincial team headed by one of their own, EComp Geoff Walker, as the Presiding Officer. He was most ably assisted by EComps Neil Murray & Alan Harwood, all under the careful direction of the escorting ProvAGDC, EComp Hardip Ubhi.

It has been a very special time of late for Andy Grove. In joining the Lodge of Integrity, he became part of a small band of Bros Grove. Grove Snr (aka WBro Chris) has delved into the two respective family trees and, sadly, didn’t find any obvious indications that we are related! Regardless, Andy fondly refers to Bro Chris as “Uncle” and Bro Simon as “Nephew”. In time, Bro Andy joined Leigh Chapter and became another Comp Grove.

The recent meeting of the Lodge of Integrity was unusual to say the least. It took place on a Saturday morning – Easter meant that the meeting had to be rescheduled – and one of the brethren was in for a treat. The assembled throng were there to support WBro Brian Hardwick as it was almost exactly 50 years since his initiation into Freemasonry. The lodge was honoured to welcome WBro Matt Perkins, our newest AsstProvGM, on his first visit to Integrity and, indeed, the first time that he’d presented a 50yr certificate.
